The new building of the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) is located at the northern edge of the UNOG campus. In contrast to the architecture in place, the building melts into the surrounding landscape by adapting itself to the topography of the site in a series of diamond-shaped volumes offset from each other.
The load-bearing structure of the building consists of glulam-concrete composite slabs. This solution enables a large part of the structure to be built using prefabricated elements.
