The project consists of refurbishing an old telephone exchange center and converting it into new apartments and commercial spaces. The original building, comprising three floors and two basements, is doubled in height with the addition of four additional levels.
The adopted structural solution made of timber-concrete frames allows to build the new addition without overloading the original structure and to include a lot of technical equipment. The timber surface of the composite slabs is exposed, this feature reflects the architectural concept and defines the materiality of the ceilings.
